It was so great to have my parents here and have them experience a little bit of my Zambian life.
At our visit to the feeding program my Dad had the opportunity to help stir the nshima. When the aunties stir the giant pot of nshima, they make it look easy, but my Dad found out that it is not easy at all (he compared it to stirring cement!). As the kids say, Zambian ladies "have power" (muscles).

| I think that my Dad now has a much greater appreciation of the effort it takes to make a large pot of nshima! |

Truly the Zambian women have amazing muscle power and they do make it looks so easy! It was very evident the minute Dad tried that it took great effort to stir the nshima. We saw their powerful strength time and again in the many things they do. We have great admiration for these women! love mom
